Allegedly, the legendary Dick Bradsell mixed this cocktail upon request of a top model for the first time in 1984. What is certain is, that this – amongst other things – catapulted him into the Olympus of barkeepers.
So, here comes the recipe.
Supplies:
Cocktail shaker
Martini glass
Ingredients for 1 (!) Espresso Martini:
Ice cubes
1 ½ oz vodka
¾ oz coffee liqueur
¾ oz espresso
¼ oz sugar syrup
3 espresso beans
How it’s done:
Cool the martini glass with the ice cubes.
Put 3 ice cubes in the shaker. Add vodka, liqueur, espresso, and sugar syrup. Shake well (20 seconds), until you get the unique, fine foam.
Remove the ice cubes from the glass and strain the cocktail inside. Decorate with 3 espresso beans.
